Carpets, carpet pads and rolls of vinyl are inefficiently stored on pallets, which is why carpet racks are a much better storage alternative to maximize your valuable floor space. A system that is good for storing rolled up lengths of material such as carpet. Essentially this works by having several bays of standard pallet racking with spacers in between them, back to back (typically around 4M deep overall) with a full length chipboard base applied to each level to protect the material from possible snagging and damage.
